Measurements of workplace environmental factors are part of the measures taken to assess the risks to workers.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 5 of May 11, 1999, on the procedure, method, and frequency of conducting risk assessments, and Article 11(1), the risk assessment shall be reviewed when:

changes occur that may affect risk—such as the introduction of new production processes, equipment, products, and materials; changes in work organization; new buildings and facilities; the renovation of existing ones; and so on;

following changes in the regulatory framework;

the assessment was based on data and information that have become invalid or irrelevant;

there is potential for the grade to be improved;

the protective and preventive measures in place are ineffective or inadequate;

The results of investigations into accidents, incidents, occupational diseases, and near-misses call for a review.

A review of the assessment is conducted:

• at the employer's discretion
• as required by the regulatory authorities
